Here's a blurb she recently shared about herself with an online audience.
SHARE ONE ODD THING ABOUT YOU?
"Just one? Wow, well, I like walking in the rain and snow - just out there milling around, usually with a camera, but not always. But I do not like driving in either one. I'm not sure if I've gotten wiser or just lost my nerve. I'm gonna go with lost nerve!"
DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY:
"My perfect day would be a family picnic on Dolly Sods picking huckleberries with the grandkids. They're young but they've picked up on how important The Sods and my camera are to me - they tease me about the camera, but they like the Sods though - and that makes me happy!"
WHAT'S ONE THING YOU WANT YOUR READERS TO REMEMBER ABOUT YOU?
"That I'm a woman of faith. Hand-me-down faith has been our family legacy for as long as I can recall or trace back. That legacy centers around our faith in God, the love of family and the Mountain State. Now that I am the older generation, it's my turn to share this legacy with the next generation. That's why I take so many pictures and write; to pass it on."
HOW DO YOU HELP YOUR NEIGHBORS?
"As a professionally trained and experienced Life Coach, I've developed the tools, and nurtured the understanding, to help my neighbors create the life they've imagined. In return, they develop a renewed sense of what their life can be. I help them enlarge their perception and worldview so their life can be filled with vitality, hope, and enthusiasm - if that's what they want. It's not all accomplished in the eight visits. It takes a lifetime! As their Life Coach, I am committed to providing my neighbors with accountability, understanding and support as they write their life's story."
EXPLAIN: "Our lives are our story"
"Sometimes I think we forget that we are the main character in a story that's uniquely our own. It's like we settle into a minor role instead of taking the lead. We can plot, plan, direct, and act out each chapter, even if someone else writes a scene or two for us. Those we can edit as we see fit. Even the props designed to make us fall can be used or moved. That's really up to us. Committing to an active role in life takes a lot a dedication and purposeful action. (WORK - it takes WORK), but the outcome can be well worth the effort."
